Energy Saving Tips

Keep air conditioning thermostats set between 78 and 80 degrees.

Use programmable thermostats, so when your not Home during the day the temperatures are set higher.

Install ceiling fans to help circulate the air in the house.

Check and replace dirty air filter on a monthly basis.

If you have an older unit, consider buying a new high efficiency unit, SEER 13 or higher, which will reduce annual costs from older SEER 10 units by a minimum of 30%.

Use energy efficient windows.

Check and make sure there is sufficient insulation in the attic.

Keep fireplace dampers closed.

Check and repair air ducts for leaks or cracks.
